Debbie Waugh
Director and Founder
Debbie Waugh has over 15 years experience working with healthcare professionals and consumers. She is a dedicated, committed professional who ensures that her company follows through on its commitment and delivery of superior services. She understands the unique needs of each consumer and uses this information to ensure complete and accurate integration of issues into the individual program.
Ms. Waugh’s over ten years of experience in physician education includes evaluation and education of both resident and professional physicians. Most recently, Ms. Waugh worked at the Center for Personalized Education for Physicians (CPEP) as Director of Program Services, managing both the assessment and education programs. Ms. Waugh’s accomplishments include maintaining systems continuity and quality during a growth period of 300%, and a 70% improvement in the education program’s success rate within her first year of program direction. During her career, Ms. Waugh also educated residents to the impact of bio-psychosocial needs of underserved populations on patient healthcare and management.
Ms. Waugh completed her Masters in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Colorado.
Diane Lanese, M.D.
Medical Director
Diane Lanese, M.D., has worked in physician education for over ten years. Her professional activities include direct patient care and physician education. Between 1998 and 2004, Dr. Lanese was an Assistant Medical Director with CPEP. In this position, she managed individual physician evaluations within a myriad of specialties. She identified and implemented the use of new evaluation tools that resulted in enhanced analysis of educational gaps. Dr. Lanese was respected by the physicians for her candor. Hospitals and State Licensing Boards found Dr. Lanese’s work consistently objective and of high quality. While completing her fellowship, Dr. Lanese taught medical students at the University of Colorado, Health Sciences Center (UCHSC).
While working at CPEP, Dr. Lanese concurrently practiced medicine at an Urgent Care facility between 1998 and 2003. Prior to this time, she was in private practice between 1994 and 1997.
Dr. Lanese completed her medical degree and internal medicine residency at Ohio State University in 1984 and 1987, respectively. She attended UCHSC for a fellowship in nephrology, which she finished in 1993. Dr. Lanese is board-certified in internal medicine since 1987, and nephrology since 2005.
